Shawna Mitchell was a three-sport athlete at RVC. But she didn’t just play three sports; she excelled in all three. Shawna was an All-Conference volleyball, basketball, and softball player, and a first team NJCAA All-American for softball in 1984. Behind her pitching, RVC won the Region IV State Softball Championship that same year.
After leaving RVC, Shawna graduated from the Des Moines Area Community College Transportation Institute and was later named Driver of the Year for Silver Arrow Express. She is currently employed by H.O. Wolding Inc., a trucking company located in Amherst, WI.
