W-Soccer: #9 Golden Eagles Defeat Harper
Rock Valley College Women's Soccer cracked the NJCAA DIII National Poll this Tuesday (September 26th) at #9. The accolades did not alter their focus as they handled Harper College at home by a winning score of 2-1. The Golden Eagles move to 6-2-2 on the season.
"Harper came out very hungry," stated Head Women's Soccer Coach
Carrie Barker. "They struck first, but we got down to business and responded right away. We cannot be satisfied being ranked. We need to continue to play great soccer."
Sophomore
Kenzie Theien scored in the 12th minute for RVC. 20 minutes later,
Katie Grubb found the back of the net, which proved to be anough for the Golden Eagles.
