W-Soccer: Golden Eagles and Madison Finish in Tie
Playing in second nationally ranked opponent in three days, Rock Valley, who is receiving votes in the latest NJCAA national poll, tied with #3 NJCAA DIII Madison College. The Golden Eagles are now 5-2-2 overall.
After a scoreless first half, RVC's
Shelby Seiter found the back of the net in the 53rd minute. After nearly 20 minutes of scoreless soccer, Madison's Esther Noriega scored for Madison.
"We played very well," said Head Women's Soccer Coach
Carrie Barker. "Two games in this kind of heat over the last three days caught up with us. I liked our mental toughness to hold on for the tie. We are right where we need to be as we approach the final stretch of the season."
