Isaac Jaramillo is entering his first season as assistant coach for Rock Valley College. Currently, Jaramillo coaches for the Kansas City area AAU Program MoKan. He has served as both an assistant and head coach for the last 7 years with the program. He has coached multiple kids that have gone on to play collegiate basketball at the D1, D2, JUCO, and NAIA levels.
Previously, Jaramillo was the head coach at Pleasant Ridge High School from 2020-2022 where he had a combined record of 34-11 over 2 seasons as head coach. In his first season, Jaramillo led the Rams to their first league championship in 12 years. In his second season, Jaramillo won the second most games in school history and made it to the sub-state championship game for the second time in school history. Jaramillo coached 4 All-League selections and 2 All-State honorable mention selections. At Pleasant Ridge, Jaramillo has sent 2 players to play collegiately.
Jaramillo served as the Graduate Assistant at the University of Saint Mary from 2018-2020 where he coached 2 All-Conference selections, one of those players going to play professionally. At Saint Mary, he had his hands in all facets of the program which included: Recruiting, on-court coaching, player development, film breakdown, scouting, travel planning, and helped in running summer camps.
Before serving as GA at Saint Mary, Jaramillo was an assistant coach for a year at Summit Christian Academy and got his start in high school coaching while serving as an assistant at Immaculata High School for a year. Jaramillo coached 5 players from both schools that went on to play college basketball at the D1 and NAIA levels.
Jaramillo grew up in Kansas City where he prepped at Pembroke Hill. In his high school career he was named All-District and All-State Honorable Mention. His senior year he led his team in points, assists, and steals. Jaramillo graduated from UMKC with a bachelors of business administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and graduated from the University of Saint Mary with a Master of Arts in Education.
