MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Rock Valley College women's volleyball team continued its strong start to the 2026 season Wednesday evening, earning a 3-1 victory over Bryant & Stratton College in Milwaukee.

The Golden Eagles used a balanced offensive attack and a strong defensive effort to control the match and pick up another win early in the season. Rock Valley has now defeated Bryant & Stratton in five consecutive meetings, with the Golden Eagles holding a 15-1 advantage in sets during that stretch.

Elena Gregotti led the Golden Eagles offensively with eight kills, while Sonia Prekducaj and Sydney Schmidt each finished with seven kills. Nicol Bokuniewicz added six kills as Rock Valley received contributions throughout the lineup.

Sofia Medina and Mia Stubbs directed the offense from the setter position, combining for 33 assists. Medina finished with 18 assists, while Stubbs added 15 as the Golden Eagles consistently found ways to generate scoring opportunities.

Medina also provided a strong serving performance, recording a team-high five aces. The Golden Eagles continued to apply pressure from the service line throughout the match.

Defensively, Prekducaj, Rhema Pace and Medina each recorded 10 digs. The Golden Eagles also received a strong presence at the net from Jordan Davenport and Sydney Schmidt, who each recorded three solo blocks.

Bokuniewicz added five block assists to round out a well-balanced individual performance for the Golden Eagles.

The victory continues a strong early-season stretch for Rock Valley, which has demonstrated offensive balance, aggressive serving and consistent defensive play during the opening weeks of the 2026 campaign.

The Golden Eagles will return to action Wednesday, Sept. 2, when they travel to College of Dupage for a 6:00 PM match.

Rock Valley's 2026 roster includes Medina, Gregotti, Prekducaj, Pace, Davenport, Schmidt, Bokuniewicz, Stubbs and the rest of the Golden Eagles under head coach Kristy Pierce.
