Rockford, IL: The Golden Eagles advance to the Region 4 District B Championship game behind a pair of wins in the Region 4 women's basketball tournament.
In the first round RVC would defeat McHenry County College Scots by a score of 94-68. RVC was lead by sophomores Elli Teubert with 16 points, Sam Tourtillott 15 points, 5 assists, Alicia Bates 11 points, 5 rebounds, Jasmyn Hale 10 points and freshman guard Mia Moore with 10 points and 8 rebounds.
In the Region 4 semi-final game the Golden Eagles would match up against the 10 seed Black Hawk College Braves. This game the Golden Eagles were led by sophomores Maya Mitchell with 18 points, 6 rebounds, Bre'Nazjah Davis 16 points, Jasmyn Hale 11 points, 9 rebounds, Elli Teubert 10 points and Freshman Mia Moore with 10 points, and 3 assist.
The Rock Valley College Women will advance to the Region 4 Championship game for the second straight year at the NJCAA division 2 level riding a 32 game win streak. The Golden Eagles will match up against the #6 seed Oakton Owls who boast a 27-5 overall record on Saturday March 9th at 7:30 pm.
