Joliet IL (September 26, 2023) - Women's Soccer defeated the #6 Nationally DIII Joliet Junior College in Region IV play Tuesday evening. It was a high energy match from start to finish with the Golden Eagles creating many chances but struggling to get shots on target. The first goal of the evening came from freshman Rafaella Steckbeck her 11th of the season. The goal came from the ball being won deep in the RVC half and immediately transitioned into the attack combining for six passes switching play to a slashing Jocelyn Harms who rounded the gk and found her opposite strike partner for a tap in at the back post. Harms now holds the RVC women's soccer record for most assists in a season with 13 and counting. RVC put the Wolves under pressure through the first half but was unable to find the back of the net. The Golden Eagles found the back of the net twice more in the second half through Abby Carlson who beat her defender 1v1 and finished neatly to the back post. Jocelyn Harms finished off the scoring with a long range shot. 

The win takes NJCAA DII #18 Rock Valley to 9-0 in Region IV play and 10-2-1 overall. RVC will host last years Region IV National Tournament participant South Suburban College @ 2:00 PM on Saturday.
