Rock Valley Men’s and Women’s Bowling Repeat as NJCAA National Champions

Rock Valley Men's Bowling team led wire to wire to repeat as NJCAA National Champions and claim their 3rd National Title. 
 
The NJCAA National Championship at AMF Airport Lanes in Cheektowaga, NY hosted the best NJCAA bowling teams from all over the country with the host Erie Community College taking 2nd Place and being the National Runner up. Iowa Western took home the 3rd Place trophy while Iowa Central finished 4th. 
 
Rock Valley led the entire tournament  taking a 256 pin lead after Doubles and Singles.  Erie CC picked up some pins during the 6 team games portion of the tournament out scoring Rock Valley 6431-6406. The 9 baker games that were left are broken down into 3 sets with reseeding done after every set. 
 
The first 3 game set of Baker games had Erie CC shooting a 710 to Rock Valley's 671 to trim the lead  but Rock Valley gained pins during the 2nd set of Baker bowling a 591 to Erie's 551.  The final set had RVC win 586-548 to give RVC their 3rd NJCAA National Championship winning by 270 pins. 
 
The team was led by Connor Mooney who took 2nd in All-Events in a field of 130 bowlers with a total pin fall of 2740. Mooney averaged 228.3 for the tournament in which only 29 players averaged over 200. Nole Hefty finished 4th in All Events with a total pin fall of 2640 and a 220.0 average while Zach Joiner finished 9th with a 210.3 average and James Stewart 10th with a 210.3 average while Tyler Keller finished 21st with a 205.3 average.
 
Connor Mooney and Nole Hefty were named to the NJCAA All-American teams joining previous NJCAA All-American bowlers, Casey Kiefler (2019), Brett Beuthin (2019), Matt Seigel (2020), Jacob Sommer (2020), Dylan Hamil (2020) and Josh Roth (2021), James Stewart (2022) and Zach Joiner (2022). 
 
Rock Valley Women led wire to wire for a 911-pin victory over Iowa Western to repeat as NJCAA Women's Bowling National Championship. 
 
The NJCAA National Championship at AMF Airport Lanes in Cheektowaga, NY hosted the best NJCAA bowling teams from all over the country. Rock Valley Women's team came in looking to repeat and led the entire way.  This is the 2nd NJCAA National Championship in just their 3rd appearance.   
 
Rock Valley led the entire tournament with the top score in every segment, Double and Singles, each of the 3 game team blocks and in the 9 team baker games block.    
 
The team was led by Sammantha Meyers who won All-Events in a field of 100 bowlers with a total pin fall of 2446. Sammantha averaged 203.8 for the tournament as the only two players  averaged over 200. Jocelynn Eggert finished in 3rd place in All Events with a total pin fall of 2378 and a 198.2 average, Rebbeca Meyers finished in 4th place with a total pinfall of 2375 for a 197.9 average.  Olivia Watton finished 6th with a total pin fall of 2336 and a 194.7 average.
