Rockford, IL: The Golden Eagles started the New Year out on a high note with a huge home win over Harper College 105-29. With that win Rock Valley improves to 14-3 on the season and is currently ranked 11
th in the latest NJCAA women's basketball DII poll.
The Golden Eagles would jump out to an early lead in the first quarter kick started with a 27-2 run. "Defense leads to easy offense for us. When we are able to get stops we are able to get out in transition and get easy points which helps build our confidence on the offensive end of the court." Stated Head Coach

The Golden Eagles defense was big. Holding Harper to 10-39 and 25% shooting from the field. RVC would also force 47 turnovers by the Hawks leading to 57 points. "Last night's game was another example of how explosive we can be as a unit when we are locked in." Stated Watkins Rock Valley scored 58 points and only allowed Harper to score 13 points heading into halftime.
Camron Blank would lead the Golden Eagles with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block. Also hitting double figures against Harper would be
Elli Teubert with 14 points,
Emily Rich with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and
Jaden Newson with 14 points 5 rebounds. Missing double figures for the Golden Eagles would be
