Rockford, IL: Rock Valley College would host a pair of games this week. 1^st with the first match up being against #15 Bryant and Stratton.
The Bobcats would come into the game with a 14-5 record. The Golden Eagles would jump out to a early 8-0 lead within the first 45 seconds of the game. Bryant and Stratton would answer with an 10-0 run of their own to claim a 10-8 lead early in the first quarter. "It was a battle early within the first quarter in which both of us were throwing big punches within the game." Stated Coach Darryl Watkins
The Bobcats would take lead at the end of the first quarter 24-19. The second quarter would be back and forth battle as well, with five lead changes in within the 2^nd quarter alone. The Golden Eagles would trail by as much as 7 before going on a run lead by McKenna Williams 8 point second quarter.

The Bobcats and Golden Eagles would battle the entire second half exchanging the lead multiple times before with 5:40 left on the clock. Scored tied at 66 the Golden Eagles would give up a layup to Mondrea Williams giving the Bobcats the lead for good 78-72. 
 
Leaders from the game were. Camron Blank finished with a game high 27 points 12 rebounds, McKenna Williams 13 points and 8 rebounds, and Elli Teubert with 10 points, and 3 assist.

Friday would be a great day. Rock Valley would honor their four sophomores. In their time spent here at Rock Valley this group has put together a great resume. A 2022 N4C Conference Championship, a 2022 NJCAA DIII Region IV Championship and a NJCAA DIII National Tournament appearance. This group of student athletes has been Nationally Ranked at the division III level as high as #2 in the nation and now in their first year as a NJCAA DII program the Golden Eagles are currently ranked #11 in the recent national poll.
 
The Golden Eagles would defeat Rockford University JV 68-34 on Sophomore Night, and move to 16-6 on the year with seven regular season games left on the year. Rock Valley College is currently the 11^th ranked team in the recent NJCAA DII women's basketball National Poll.
