Rockford, IL: The Golden Eagles picked up two wins last week over now #20 Black Hawk and Delta College. With those two victories Rock Valley improves to 10-2 on the year and is currently ranked 13
th in the latest NJCAA women's basketball DII poll.
On Thursday the Golden Eagles would handle Black Hawk by a score of 77-63. Rock Valley would open up the game on an 18-6 run in the first quarter over the Braves to get things started. "We jumped out early defending at a high level which lead to great opportunities in transition for us." Stated Watkins

The Braves would battle throughout the game and eventually take a lead in the 3
rd quarter by capping off an 11-2 run. The Golden Eagles would then go on a 10-3 run theirself to close out the 3
rd quarter regaining the lead and never looking back as RVC would pull away in the 4
th quarter to walk away with win number nine on the season.
Leaders from the game were
Maya Mitchell with 12 points 3 steals and 4 rebounds,
Emily Rich with 11 points 4 steals. Missing double figures were
Kiara Brandon, and
Nevaeh Hughes with 9 points apiece and
McKenna Williams 8 points, 5 rebounds.
Rock Valley would finish the weekend defeating Delta College. The Golden Eagles dominate the Pioneers the entire game eventually leading to a 90-59 victory.

RVC will be on the road against the #2 team in NJCAA DII Morton on Thursday December 8
th followed up with #11 Parkland College on Saturday December 10
th.
