A Loud National Statement

Rockford, IL- #3 RVC Women's Basketball comes away with its eighth straight win Wednesday evening 84-64 over 13th ranked Madison College. The Golden Eagles improve to 18-6 overall and (8-0) in N4C.

The Golden Eagles started the game off in a slug fest back and forth blows with the Wolfpack. "There was a lot of trading baskets going on early no one had truly put together 2 stops in a row." Stated Darry Watkins. That was before Rock Valley would end the quarter on a 8-3 run.

The second quarter would be no different seeing the Golden Eagles continue to trade baskets with Madison before finally ending the quarter on a 9-4 run heading into halftime with a 39-30 lead. "We had finally put together a couple stops in a row to extend our lead right before half giving us a little bit of cushion." Stated Watkins

The second half would be entirely different seeing the Golden Eagles build their largest leads of the game of 24 points and 26 points. The 3rd quarter would be the deciding factor in this game as Rock Valley went on a 26-13 run. "It was good to catch grip in the second half and see our team build off the energy in the PEC. Our fans were behind us big time and our ladies fed off of that energy." Stated Watkins
