The men's basketball team gets back to their winning ways by beating Judson University JV tonight 82-44. The Golden Eagles had a huge defensive second half to extend their lead. They held the Eagles to 14pts on 30% shooting in the 2nd half. A big part to their 2nd half play was the rebounding margin, the Golden Eagles out rebounded the Eagles by 14. "Our guys came out really flat in this game, it took us a bit to get going" head coach
Tyler Bredehoeft said about the team. "We found our intensity early in the second half, and rode our defense to the win", Bredehoeft added.
Nick Phillips led all scores with 18pts on a 7-14 shooting night.
Charles Burnell,
Ja'Quan Chestnut, and
Nick Pierson were all double digit scores for the Golden Eagles tonight, as well.
Brayden Hennis lead all rebounders with 11 total rebounds, 8 of them on the defensive end. Burnell lead the team in assits, dishing out 7 tonight.
