After the first semester break the Golden Eagles picked up where they left off, with a win. They defeated Wilbur Wright 70-65 to extend their win streak to 3 games. Although the Golden Eagles escaped with the win, they had to earn this one. On a night where they shot 37% from the floor and 21% from the 3pt line they found a way to win.
"We struggled to shoot the ball tonight, but we found other ways to be effective and get the job done", Bredehoeft said about the poor shooting night. "Ja'Quan really carried us and provided us with a boost offensively. Brayden pulled down big time rebounds for us and took a charge that proved to be the change in the game that we needed" Bredehoeft added.
Ja'Quan Chestnut finished with a career high 28pts on 12-17 shooting. He also added 9 rebounds to go with it. Charles Burnell and Justin Robinson both scored in double figures, while adding 5 assists each. Nick Phillips hit 5 three pointers in the contest to finish with 15pts. Brayden Hennis lead the team in rebounds with 10. The Golden Eagles continued to share the basketball as they had 19 assists on 25 made baskets.
