The RVC men's basketball team opened the season at the Broadway Classic on the campus of Southeastern CC (IA). They dropped 2 games this weekend, Friday night verse Southeastern they fell 78-54 and they dropped a heartbreaker to Illinois Central 67-66. The Golden Eagles are 0-2 to start the 2019-2020 season.
"We played two very talented teams over the weekend, they exposed us in several areas and they took advantage of it. It is a long season, we have to continue to get better each game," said head coach Tyler Bredehoeft. "There were some bright spots as well; a few guys did some really nice things. Hopefully it's something they can build off of".
Southeastern CC vs Rock Valley College
Charles Burnell and Justin Robinson led RVC in scoring on Friday night with 13pts each. Burnell and Ja'Quan Chestnut both had 6rbs each.
Rock Valley College vs Illinois Central
Brayden Hennis led the team in scoring with 16pts, he connected on 4 of 9 shooting from 3pt. Michael McDermott had a game high in rebounds with 15 total.
