Box Score RVC Basketball (3-1) suffered its first loss of the season at #3 NJCAA DII South Suburban College - 65-53. The Golden Eagles committed 15 turnovers and shot 32% from the field in the ball game.

"You need to play a complete game for 40 minutes if you want to win at South Suburban College," said Evan Lavery, Head Men's Basketball Coach. "We did a great job of executing on the defensive end of the floor in the first half. We had a couple lapses in transition, and struggled to contain the drive on a couple of occasions in the second half. They made us pay. There are many of valuable teaching moments from our first road game of the season."

The Golden Eagles used a 16-2 run to close the first half to take a 1-point advantage into half time. After a back and forth start to the second half, RVC trailed 47-46 after an old fashioned three-point play from freshman Bryanth Farr. The Bulldogs responded with a 9-0 run to force RVC to play catch-up the rest of the afternoon.

RVC was led by a double-double from DeMari Davis (11 points, 11 rebounds). Sophomore guards Malique Ross and Elijah Pappas added 9 points a piece.
