W-Soccer: Season Ends in Penalty Kicks in the Region IV Tournament
#4 Rock Valley College Women's Soccer tied #5 College of DuPage 2-2, but fell in penalty kicks 5-4 in the quarterfinals of the Region IV Tournament. The Golden Eagles finish the season 8-4-3 overall.
"It is tough to see the season come to an end. I am proud of our team and the way we competed tonight," stated Head Women's Soccer Coach
Carrie Barker. "We were a bit unlucky on the first goal we allowed. We came back, though, with two goals of our own to take the lead. We had a breakdown in the 83rd minute when DuPage was able to tie the match. We did not come up with the result we wanted. It was a physical and hard faught match."
Shelby Seiter scored both goals for RVC.
