W-Soccer: #4 RVC Continues Streak, Knocks Off Triton
The red-hot RVC Women's Soccer team continued their winning ways knocking off Triton College 4-2 in Rockford. The Golden Eagles improve to 7-0 overall.
"I was happy with our performance in the first half," stated Head Women's Soccer Coach
Carrie Barker. "I thought we played well both offensively and defensively. We had some breakdowns in the second half, but maintained our composure. We will learn from our mistakes and continue to develop individually and as a unit."
Three different Golden Eagles scored in the match, led by
Kenzie Theien's 2 goals.
Brianna Perez and
Maria Olivares also found the back of the net. Triton scored twice in the second half, but the Golden Eagles were able to lean on their established first half lead to finish off the Trojans.

Prior to today's match, RVC was ranked #4 nationally in total goals scored (37) and tied for #2 nationally for total goals allowed (1)...
Kenzie Theien is #4 nationally in total points scored (23) and tied for #4 nationally in assists (7)... The Golden Eagles have been ranked in every national poll thus far this season... The 7th win in 2016 ties the 2015 total win mark (7) with seven regular season games left to play.
