W-Soccer: Golden Eagles Soar Past Elgin
The Golden Eagles Women's Soccer team wasted little time getting to work against Elgin Community College. RVC scored 2 minutes into the match and did not take the foot off of the gas pedal, cruising to a 6-0 win in Rockford.
"It was great to open our regular season with a win," said third year head coach
Carrie Barker. "We had a nice crowd, and I think our ladies fed off of that. Hopefully this is the first of many more wins to come."

Gabby Solis completed the hat trick, scoring 3 goals in the contest.
Anne Harris netted 2 goals, while
Daniela Zamora chipped in 1 goal.
"Our defense was pretty active for 90 minutes," stated an excited Barker. "We will enjoy this win tonight, and get back to work tomorrow."
