M-Basketball: RVC Takes Down McHenry
Box Score RVC Men's Basketball came away with a 75-57 win over NJCAA DII member McHenry County College on Tuesday night. The Golden Eagles move to 3-1.
The game featured 11 made 3 PT field goals for Rock Valley, including sophomore
Dalton Menke hitting 7 for 21 points on the evening.
Jace Kitchen (DeKalb, IL) contributed 10 points in the winning effort.
DeMari Davis contributed a strong all-around game with 7 points and 11 rebounds. The Golden Eagles also managed to win the battle of the boards 40-29.
"Plenty of positives, and plenty of areas that we still need plenty of work," said Head Men's Basketball Coach
Evan Lavery. "It was great to have Menke see some shots go in. We crashed the glass hard. In contrast, we are still making questionable decisions with the basketball and only guarding in spurts. We need to get to a point to have everyone show up for long periods of time in order to earn the success we would like to."
McHenry was paced by 24 points from sophomore guard Tyler Lewis.
