W-Basketball: Brianna Davis continues to lead #4 RVC, Golden Eagles down Triton for third straight win

Brianna Davis leading Rock Valley College in scoring... Since the start of 2016 the Golden Eagles women's basketball team has played six games.
Brianna Davis has led Rock Valley in scoring in each of those contests as the Golden Eagles have won 5 of 6. On Wednesday evening it was more of the same for the star sophomore guard from Auburn high school in Rockford. Davis scored 16 points to lead RVC to a 78-62 victory over visiting Triton to extend their winning streak to three games.
"Brianna has been very consistent for us. We love what she brings to the table on the offensive end. We continue to get many calls from NCAA D1 coaches who have interest in her," head coach
Misty Opat stated. "It was our defense that allowed us to take control of this game. We forced 27 turnovers and we out-rebounded Triton by 10."

Tierra McGowan was huge for the Golden Eagles posting a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds.
Asia Jones and
Creighton Fed chipped in with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Rock Valley improves to 15-6 (4-1 N4C) on the season while Triton falls to 14-7 (3-3 N4C).
The Golden Eagles travel to Glen Ellyn, Illinois on Saturday to play College of DuPage. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
