Box Score The Golden Eagles fell at the hands of conference rival Joliet Junior College by a score of 70-66 on Saturday in Joliet.

Rock Valley, who has made three consecutive national tournaments including winning the National Championship in 2014, took down Joliet in back-to-back Region 4/District 2 championship games in 2013 and in 2014 to book their trip to New York. However, since the 2012-13 season, RVC is just 1-3 against Joliet in their gym.

In the losing effort the Golden Eagles shot a chilly 40% from the field including just 9 of 32 (.280) from behind the 3-point line. LT Davis led the way for RVC with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Kooper Glick scored 14 points while Elijah Williams scored 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

"Joliet is a tough place to play. However, we have played and won at Vincennes, at Indian Hills, at John Wood and in many other tough environments. Being on the road isn't an excuse to not play for 40 minutes," head coach Craig Doty stated. "We will be back to work with a long day of film, practice and weights on Monday. On Wednesday we play our toughest opponent (Triton) since we played Indian Hills in November. Triton has won 14 straight games, they are 18-2 and they are ranked #5 in NJCAA D2. We will have to play on both ends for 40 minutes."

Triton College along with Wright College are both NJCAA D2 scholarship schools who are a part of the NJCAA D3 heavy league of the N4C conference. Last season, Rock Valley and Triton both went 13-1 in conference to share the conference championship.

Tip-off vs. Triton is set for 7:30 PM on the campus of Rock Valley College. The women will start the double-header with their tip-off scheduled for 5:30 PM.
