The Rock Valley College volleyball team opened their season today in a Tri-Match hosted by Illinois Valley Community College (Oglesby, IL).The Golden Eagles won the first contest over the host team 25-18, 25-22, 25-16.
Makenzie Macek led the way in kills with 11 and Jaycee Cleaver had 26 assists in the win.
In the second match the Golden Eagles lost to Illinois Central College (Peoria, IL) in four sets (22-25, 25-23, 17-25, 19-25).
Macek led the way with 12 kills, followed by Keifer Zimmerman with 10 kills. Both Macek and Zimmerman also hit double digits in digs with 13 and 20 respectively.

Alyssa Tomei, play on Tuesday at McHenry County College (Crystal Lake, IL).
