Box Score RVC Head Coach Misty Opat knows Brianna Davis has to produce offensively if the Golden Eagles want to reach their maximum potential.

"Brianna is a returning sophomore who played a key role on last year's national championship team," Opat stated. "When she plays well, we play well as a team.  There is some pressure on her to score the basketball but it's a great responsiblity for Bre.  She stepped up big tonight against Moraine."

Davis scored 25 points and hauled in 5 rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles to a 74-58 victory over visiting Moraine Valley Community College (Palos Hills, IL) an NJCAA D2 member program.

RVC improves to 7-3 on the season with the win.  Moraine Valley falls to 6-4 on the year.

"We have a young team and we need to trust the process.  We are counting on eight freshman to be big contributors in the program," Opat said.

Freshman phenom Tierra McGowan had a double-double against Moraine scoring 12 points and hauling in 14 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles travel to Kankakee on Saturday to play the Cavaliers who boast an 8-1 record.  Game time is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
