Tony Hall

Tony Hall is entering 10th season as Head Bowling Coach at Rock Valley College.

Hall has led the Golden Eagles to 8 NJCAA National Championships with the Men’s Bowling team in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024 and the Women’s Bowling team in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Hall has coached 27 NJCAA All-Americans with seven All Events Champions / NJCAA Most Valuable Bowlers: Tegan Peterson 2020, James Stewart 2022, Tegan Peterson 2022, Sammantha Meyers 2023, Tyler Keller 2024, Madison Davenport 2024 and Madison Davenport 2025. The Men’s and Women’s teams have qualified for USBC Sectionals 5 times each, competing against four-year colleges and universities in 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Hall grew up in Rockton, IL and bowled his 1st 300 game as a 16 year old youth bowler at Edgewood Lanes in Roscoe, IL. At the age of 19 he went to work for the Ladies Pro Bowlers Tour and started traveling the country working as a Player Services Rep and traveled across 9 seasons drilling thousands of bowling balls and helping run national tour events and is where he met his wife, Kris McCune. Hall was also the LPBT Midwest Region tournament director from 1994-1995.

Hall was an assistant coach at Hononegah High School for 9 seasons from 2013-2021 and was part of two IHSA State Championships in 2015 and 2018 and were 6 time IHSA Regional Champions.

Hall has run bowling pro shops and bowling centers and is currently the General Manager at Cherry Bowl and Forest Hills Lanes in the Rockford area. Currently serves on the Illinois State Bowling Proprietors Board of Directors, the Northern Illinois Bowling Proprietors Board of Directors, NJCAA Bowling Coaches Association President, National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association Regional Director 3, USBC College Bowling Advisory Council, USBC College Hall of Fame Committee.
