Ryan Frisbie brings more than 20 years of coaching, player development, and soccer administration experience to Rock Valley College. His background includes elite youth, ECNL, USL-W, Olympic Development Program, and club environments, with extensive experience in goalkeeper development, team coaching, recruiting, and program leadership.
Frisbie currently serves as General Manager of the Rockford Raptors' USL-W program while also coaching within the club's ECNL RL and ECNL environments and serving as the organization's Goalkeeper Director. His responsibilities include managing team operations, player recruitment, roster development, travel logistics, match-day staffing, and goalkeeper development for players ranging from youth to pre-professional and collegiate levels.
He previously served as Head Goalkeeper Coach and Staff Coach with Socker's FC Chicago from 2022 through 2025, directing goalkeeper development across the girls program while coaching multiple teams. Frisbie also spent more than a decade with FCX Soccer Club as Director of Goalkeeping and Club Administrator, where he oversaw goalkeeper development, coached competitive teams, managed club operations, and helped create developmental pathways from recreational to competitive soccer.
From 2014 through 2022, Frisbie served as Head Goalkeeper Coach for the Illinois Olympic Development Program, working with elite players from across the state through technical and tactical training, player evaluations, and individual development plans. He also began his coaching career with the Rockford Raptors, where he coached recreational and competitive teams and worked extensively with goalkeepers and staff coaches.
Frisbie holds a USSF B License and has earned a United Soccer Coaches Level 3 Goalkeeper Diploma, United Soccer Coaches National Diploma, and USYS National Youth License. He holds a Master of Education in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Rockford College.
Now joining the Rock Valley College Men's Soccer staff as an assistant coach, Frisbie brings extensive experience in player development, goalkeeper training, program operations, and high-level youth and pre-professional soccer to the Golden Eagles.
