Southall joined the staff in the Fall of 2023 and works directly with the pitchers. In her first year on staff the Golden Eagles posted a 34-15 record and placed 7th at the NJCAA DII World Series. She helped leaded the Golden Eagle to a 3.59 staff ERA and 1.53 staff WHIP. In her second year on staff, she helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 47-11 record and placed 9th at the NJCAA DII World Series. Her pitching staff boasted a 1.99 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP. Southall has also coaches NJCAA All-Americans, Alison Hassett (2024) and Natalie Lower (2025, Michigan State).

Before her time at Rock Valley, Southall is a Graduate Assistant at NCAA Division 1 University of South Dakota in the Summit League. The Coyotes won over 50 games in the two-seasons that Southall was on staff. 

Southall began her coaching career in 2020 as an Assistant Coach with the 14u Beverly Bandits, a traditional travel ball powerhouse. With the Bandits, she worked directly with outfielders, hitters and pitchers and won two PGF National Championships. 

Southall had a standout career at NAIA Olivet Nazarene near her hometown of Wilmington, Illinois. Southall was a five-year starter, a three-time all-conference performer and a two-time all-American. She led her team to a 159-50 record across five seasons that featured two conference titles, a conference tournament title and three NAIA National Tournament appearances including a World Series berth in 2021.

Southall pitched and played in the outfield. In the batter's box, she hit .388 over her career with 24 home runs, 67 doubles and 13 triples. She scored 180 runs and drove in 202. She was walked a program-record 123 times in 208 career games and concluded with a career on-base percentage of .497.

Southall did almost all of her pitching in her final three seasons. She went 28-8 in the circle over her career with a 2.60 ERA and struck out 144 in 244 2/3 innings of work. She went 15-3 in the circle with a career-best 2.42 ERA her senior year of 2021 and hit a career-best .440 (51-for-116) with seven home runs and 39 RBIs in being named a first-team all-American.

Southall is no stranger to the coaching profession.  Her father Barry Southall was inducted into the IHSA Football Hall of Fame in 2020 for an historic career at Wilmington High School since 1994 that he won two Illinois State Championships (2014 and 2021) and a runner up finish (2003).    

Southall graduated from Olivet Nazarene with a degree in business administration and has a Master's Degree in Sport Management from University of South Dakota.
