Rock Valley College Head Coach
Darin Monroe has announced that Jesse Fudge will be joining the staff for the 2024-2025 season as an Assistant Coach. Fudge replaces longtime Assistant Coach DJ Johnson who announced his retirement in May. RVC is coming off a 35-15 season and placed 7
th at the NJCAA D2 National Tournament.
"As an Alumni and having a daughter who played for Coach Monroe, I am excited to join the coaching staff at Rock Valley College that is one of the top programs in the nation" stated Fudge.
Fudge is no stranger to fastpitch softball in the Rockford community as he started playing at the age of five years old and continued to play throughout his life both locally and nationally in ASA, NAFA, and ISC National and World Tournaments for over 19 years.
"My familiarity to Coach Fudge having known him for almost 15 years has made him a clear candidate for this position and I am thrilled to add him to our staff here at Rock Valley College" said Athletic Director/Head Softball Coach

Fudge started coaching girls softball in 2005 with travel softball in the Rockford community before taking over as the Program Director for the Stateline Fury from 2013-2018 where he met Head Coach
Darin Monroe. His primary focus on the RVC staff will be on outfield defense and short game offense.
Fudge is a graduate of Rock Valley College and Rockford University and has been married to his wife Tracy for 34 years. Fudge has two daughters, Kara and Kristin (who is a former RVC Softball player).
