Coach Jack Howard joined the Golden Eagles coaching staff in August 2022 and currently serves as the program’s Recruiting Coordinator and primary hitting coach. Since his arrival, Howard has transformed the Golden Eagles’ offense into one of the most explosive and productive lineups in NJCAA Division II baseball.
Record-Breaking Offenses (2023–2025)
Howard’s impact has been immediate and undeniable. Across three seasons, his offenses have shattered the program’s home run record every single year:

The 2025 season marked back-to-back 42-win campaigns, with Howard’s offense continuing to produce elite hitters and national-level numbers. Under his guidance, the Golden Eagles have consistently ranked among the country’s best in power, speed, and overall run production.
Player Development Excellence
Howard has earned a reputation for developing hitters who excel at the next level. His work has produced:

· Numerous players moving on to four-year programs and professional opportunities

Before Rock Valley College
Prior to joining the Golden Eagles, Howard served as an assistant coach at Parrish Community High School (FL), where he worked with hitters and infielders. In his lone season, Parrish set program records in hits, runs, RBI, walks, HBP, steals, and fielding percentage (.938), while turning 29 double plays. Two infielders went on to play college baseball under his guidance.
Playing Career
Howard played four years of collegiate baseball, beginning at the College of DuPage, where he hit .403 as a sophomore with a .511 OBP and .653 slugging percentage. He finished his career at Webber International University, competing at a high level while earning his degree.
Personal Background
Howard, a native of Joliet, IL, graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport Business Management from Webber International University.
