Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Jose Alonso

Jose Alonso served as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s soccer teams at Kishwaukee College from 2018 to 2020, where he contributed to the men's team , breaking their goals record. With 17 years of coaching experience, Jose has an extensive background in both men’s and women’s soccer. He has also held assistant coaching positions with the UWS Raptors team and Lancaster FC in 2022.

In addition to coaching, Jose has been instrumental in starting various semi-professional soccer teams and academies. He earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UPCT in Spain, where he played as a defender on the university’s soccer team for four years, reaching national competitions twice. During this time, he also played professional and semi-professional futsal. Jose was named best defender of the season and called for the regional team 3 years in a row.

Jose moved to the United States to further his education, earning an MBA and Master in International Management from (NIU). He played futsal for Chicago Tryzub from 2018 to 2020. Currently, Jose is involved in local soccer clubs, coaching for the Rockford Raptors, and is a certified personal trainer by NSCA

Jose brings a unique perspective to the team, drawing on his experience from a country where soccer is played with a different style and approach. He aims to integrate this knowledge into the team's strategy, focusing on ball control and game management.
