Jayke Vallette joins Rock Valley College as the assistant woman’s soccer coach for the 2016 season. He comes to RVC with a strong background of coaching at the collegiate, high school, and club levels. Most recently, Vallette was on staff at his alma mater Buena Vista University through the 2014 season.
Vallette started his coaching career at Iowa Lakes Community College and was part of establishing a program through its inaugural season. During this time his responsibilities included training, recruiting, game day operations, fundraising, tutoring, and travel organization. His connection to the community comes from “The Watermelon Ride” which was a fundraising campaign consisting of riding 850 miles in 8 days on bicycle to recruit players from the Watermelon Tournament in Rockford, IL.
Vallette is a native of Rapid City, SD where he was a 1st team all-state selection. He played his collegiate soccer at Buena Vista University where earned his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and Sports Management. During this time he was a 2 year captain and 4 year starter on the varsity squad. Following his playing career he completed his Masters of Education at Iowa State University. Vallette holds a “D” license from thee USSF.
