Chad Tewell joined the Rock Valley College Women's Soccer coaching staff after building an extensive coaching résumé within the Rockford soccer community. With experience spanning recreational, academy, and ECNL competition, Coach Tewell has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing players at every stage of their soccer journey.
A graduate of Christian Life School in 2005, he is a lifelong Rockford resident and currently works in the Facility's Department at Rock Valley College. His connection to both the college and the local community reflects his dedication to serving student-athletes on and off the field.
Coach Tewell began his coaching career in 2018 with Rockford Youth Soccer League (RYSL), where he developed a passion for player development and youth coaching. He continued his coaching progression by joining the Rockford Raptors organization in 2019, working with the Junior Raptors program before serving as an assistant coach with the Boys U10 team during the 2020–21 season.
He has coached several of the club's premier girls' programs. He served as an assistant coach for the Rockford Raptors ECNL Regional League U14 team during the 2021–22 season before being named Co-Head Coach of the U11 Girls team in 2022–23. The following year, he led the U12 Girls age group as Co-Head Coach while also working within the club's Pre-ECNL program, helping prepare players for advancement into the ECNL pathway. Most recently, he served as Co-Head Coach of the Rockford Raptors U13 ECNL National team during the 2024–25 season, continuing to develop high-level players competing in one of the nation's premier youth soccer platforms.
His experience working with players across multiple age groups and competitive levels provides valuable insight into technical development, player progression, and long-term athlete growth. As a member of the Rock Valley College Women's Soccer coaching staff, Coach Tewell is committed to helping student-athletes reach their full potential both on the field and in the classroom while contributing to the continued success of the Golden Eagles program.
