2016-17 (Freshman)... Appeared in all 32 games for the Golden Eagles, starting 2… Averaged 13.4 minutes per game, while adding 2.9 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game… Career highs in points (9 vs. Elgin) and rebounds (8, two times).

Before RVC
Graduated from Belvidere High School (Belvidere, Illinois)... 3-year starter for Coach Aaron Pearson and the Bucs... All-state honorable mention his senior year... Named to the all-Northern Illinois Conference team his junior and senior year... Barnes helped lead his team to their first Regional Championship in 26 years... Selected to the All-NIC 10 Team for the Rising Stars All-Star game played at Rock Valley College.
