Nick Ramos

Nick Ramos enters his second season with the Golden Eagles. In Ramos first season with the Golden Eagles, Rock Valley was 22-10 and made a Region 4 Semi-Final game.  Before coming to Rock Valley Coach Ramos spent two years at NJCAA division 1 level coaching at Marshalltown Community college. In each of his two years at MCC the tigers improved their win total, posting their most wins since 2018-2019 in Ramos's final year. In his 2 years Ramos coached 6 all-region performers including 2 1st team all-region performers.

Coach Ramos started his coaching career at his alma mater Rockford University where he was a graduate assistant 2018-2020. He coached two First Team All-Conference players and was part of the coaching staff that led the team to their first conference tournament appearance in six years. 

Coach Ramos was born in Montebello, CA and graduated from Millennium High School in Goodyear, AZ. He attended Rockford University in Illinois 2014-2018 where he played basketball for four years. He was awarded 2018 NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Honors Court. Coach Ramos graduated with his BS in Accounting and Masters in Business Administration with a finance emphasis.

"I am thrilled to add Nick to our staff. He brings some really valuable junior college experience with him and a great recruiting base. He is familiar with the Rockford area, which will make his transition even easier.", head coach Tyler Bredehoeft said. Ramos will be in charge of many day to day duties within the program. "He will be our lead recruiter as we move into our 2023 recruiting class, as well as helping us finish off our 2022 class. Nick will be heavily involved in our academic oversight of our athletes and a key piece in our player development program", Bredehoeft added.
