Coach Wilwers helped develop the pitching staff in the spring of 2026. The staff helped earn 36 wins and making it to the final four in Region 4 to the super regionals. Jonah Roper led the way with an ERA of 3.69 and a 7 win and 3 loss year. Jonah also had 5 complete games. The pitching staff amassed 354 strikeouts throughout the spring campaign. The batting average against RVC was .282. Matthew Woodward is heading to Valparaiso University to play following his career at Rock Valley College. Grant Schroeder is heading to Hawaii Pacific University, Conner Foster making his way to Clarke University in Iowa, along with Maddox Fennewald heading to Park University.
Ryan Wilwers is deemed the new pitching coach here in 2025 here at Rock Valley College. He brings a wealth of knowledge with a hands on approach. Coach Wilwers started his collegiate career here at Rock Valley College and finished up playing at Ottawa University appearing in the NAIA Collegiate World Series. Wilwers also played summer collegiately in the Northwoods with Battle Creek BattleJacks out of Michigan.
Coach Wilwers spent the summer of 2025 in the Northwoods League coaching with the Rockford Rivets. The Northwoods league is one of the premier summer collegiate leagues in the country. His knowledge of using technology and teaching from experiences is huge for the program. He has a passion for the game and will bring that to the pitching staff.
