Nate Washington joined the staff in the fall of 2021. Washington works primarily with the Golden Eagles with assisting with hitters, offensive schemes, base running and working with the outfielders.
Nate Washington is a local product while attending Boylan Catholic High School. Nate was a 1st team All-Conference outfielder his senior year in 2016. Following a successful high school career, he took his talents to Rock Valley College.
Nate played for the Golden Eagles in 2017 and was 1st team All-Region as a freshman. After one year it was time for Nate to head onto Division I Illinois State University. He continued his education at Illinois State University, earning a Bachelors in Psychology. He is a current student at Northern Illinois University, and will be receiving a Masters degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis is Sports Psychology.
Coach Washington was a part of Boylan baseball’s coaching staff during the spring of 2021 season and coaches with the Rockford Baseball Academy’s 18U team in the summer.
Coach Herren comments, "Nate was a superior leader and player on the field, we are excited to have him here at RVC and continue to develop our hitters. He is very passionate about the game and has already in a short time developed strong relationships with the players!"
