Caleb Bounds has been an Assistant Baseball Coach for the Golden Eagles since the fall of 2018.

Coach Bounds has been huge reason for Rock Valley College's success on the diamond and in the classroom.  Coach Bounds worked with Zac Cummins who earned NJCAA First Team All-American, ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-American, Region IV Player of the Year, Region IV First Team Pitcher, Region IV Gold Glove!  The Golden Eagles lowered the teams ERA by 1.04 from the previous year while the team had 354 strikeouts.  Opposing teams only batted. 266 against this strong staff.  

Coach Bounds was a huge part as well in the reason ten sophomores went onto their respective four year institutions.  They landed in several parts of the country as North Dakota, Arkansas, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois to name a few.  Also, many of the players have found a summer home in Florida, Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas, or Illinois playing top level competition for summer collegiate leagues.  

Coach Bounds at Rock Valley College will be a vital part of the program as he will be in charge of the pitching staff, assist with hitters, recruiting, game day management, academic progress, travel, and day to day operations,

Caleb comes to Rock Valley College from Columbia College (Columbia, MO) where he graduated with his Masters in Business Administration.

Caleb helped coach the Columbia College Cougars to two 30+ winning seasons, and one conference championship. Caleb worked with pitchers mainly, but also did some work with the hitters. He helped develop the workout plan, along with running the academic side of the baseball team.

Caleb also coaches the Chillicothe Mudcats which is apart of the very strong MINK Summer Collegiate League, where he is the Head Coach located in Chillicothe, Missouri. .

Caleb played baseball at both William Woods University, and North Central Missouri College. While playing at William Woods University, he helped lead the Owls to the third best ERA in the country, and also to the National Tournament his junior year. He was named to the Academic All-Conference team both years he was there. Caleb Got his Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in management, and a minor in coaching. Caleb was both a starter and reliever during his stint with the Owls. Bounds started his career at North Central Missouri College, where he completed his Associates of Arts degree and led the Pirates to record breaking wins in both his freshman and sophomore year as a pitcher for the Pirates. He was also named an Academic All-American his sophomore year and was a team captain.
