ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rock Valley College Baseball program has announced an exciting and challenging Fall 2026 schedule that will prepare the Golden Eagles for another championship-caliber spring season. Featuring a combination of collegiate competition, regional showcases, and recruiting events throughout the Midwest, the fall slate is designed to provide valuable development opportunities while showcasing the talent within the program.
Head Coach Ryan Herren is eager to welcome the newest members of the program while continuing the development of a talented returning core.
"I'm excited to welcome our new players to campus and continue building on the culture we've established," said Herren. "Our returning players have set a high standard, and this fall schedule will challenge our entire roster against quality competition. The goal is to prepare ourselves to be a legitimate contender this spring."
The Golden Eagles enter the 2026-27 academic year following another successful campaign. Rock Valley recorded 36 victories during the 2026 season and has accumulated an impressive 152 wins over the past four years. During that time, the program has continued to establish itself as one of the premier junior college baseball programs in the region while producing four professional baseball players.
The coaching staff also returns with a strong foundation. Pitching Coach Ryan Wilwers returns to continue developing one of the program's strengths on the mound, while the addition of Coach Sherman is expected to make an immediate impact on the offensive side of the game through the continued development of the Golden Eagles hitters.
The fall schedule includes home contests against regional opponents, participation in several premier showcase events, and opportunities to compete against NCAA and NAIA programs. These experiences will provide valuable game competition and exposure while preparing the team for the demanding Region 4 schedule this spring.
