As anticipation builds for another exciting fall on the court, Rock Valley College Women's Volleyball Head Coach Kristy Pierce has officially unveiled the Golden Eagles' 2026 season schedule. Entering her eighth season at the helm, Pierce and the Golden Eagles are eager to begin a new chapter with a talented mix of returning players and promising newcomers.

After the 2025 campaign that showcased the team's resilience and determination, the Golden Eagles are focused on taking the next step as they continue competing at the NJCAA Division II level. With valuable experience returning to the roster and another strong recruiting class joining the program, expectations are high heading into the new season.

"Our team has put in a tremendous amount of work during the offseason," said Head Coach Kristy Pierce. "We're excited about the chemistry we've been building and the competitiveness this group brings every day. We have great leadership, talented newcomers, and a team that's hungry to compete. We're looking forward to seeing what this group can accomplish together."

Golden Eagle fans will once again have plenty of opportunities to cheer on Rock Valley throughout the fall. The 2026 schedule features numerous home matches at the Physical Education Center (PEC), along with several challenging non-conference tournaments and a competitive Region 4 schedule that will prepare the team for postseason play.

The season officially begins in early August with two scrimmages against Judson and Governors State, NAIA members of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The team will then prepare for opening weekend competition, where they'll once again face some of the nation's top NJCAA programs in one of the premier junior college tournaments of the season.

Coach Pierce believes the demanding schedule will help prepare her squad for the challenges that lie ahead. "We've put together another schedule that will test us from the very beginning," Pierce said. "Playing high-level competition early helps us identify where we need to improve while giving our players valuable experience. Our goal is to continue growing throughout the season and be playing our best volleyball when postseason arrives."

The Golden Eagles will once again feature student-athletes from across northern Illinois and around the country, bringing together a talented group united by a common goal: competing for championships and representing Rock Valley College with pride.
With the 2026 schedule now officially released, the countdown to opening serve has begun. Golden Eagle fans are encouraged to mark their calendars, wear their green and gold, and pack the PEC all season long as Rock Valley Volleyball embarks on another exciting journey.

The future is bright, the energy is high, and another memorable season awaits.
