Head coach Chad Herren has added a new member and familiar face to his staff for the 2025-2026 season. Ryan Wilwers returns to his alma mater here at Rock Valley College in the role of pitching coach. 
 
Ryan Wilwers is from Marengo, Illinois. Ryan's playing career saw time at MidAmerica Nazarene University and Ottawa University in Kansas where he was a starting pitcher. Coach Wilwers is a Rock Valley College alumni as well and played under Coach Herren before moving onto his respective 4-year.  Wilwers also played and coached in the Northwoods League which is one of the premier summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country. Wilwers was a recent pitching coach for the Rockford Rivets this past 2025 summer and he was also a pitcher for the Battle Creek BattleJacks in Michigan. Coach Herren mentions Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge back to lead the pitching staff. 
 
"Bringing back Coach Wilwers that knows the program well, will be a great fit for Golden Eagle Ball", Herren comments. With his experience he will lead the staff and continue to shape on a solid foundation.
