Joplin, MO: The 17 seeded Golden Eagles season has come to an end against eighth seeded team in the national tournament the Highland Scotties in a 68-55 loss. The Golden Eagles battled early in the first quarter of the game exchanging blows before ultimately having a slow second quarter which would ultimately lead to a loss.
In the second quarter the Scotties would take advantage of a 20-9 run to build a 9 point lead that Rock Valley could never recover from. "We dug ourselves too deep of a hole once again to climb out of. And like we preach to our kids every day a slow start against a good team cant happen." Stated Head Coach

Mia Moore lead the Golden Eagles with 18 points, and 9 rebounds. Rounding out double figure scoring was freshman
Amadea Montijo with 13 points 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assist.
The Golden Eagles end the year as the 23rd ranked team in the nation with a final record of 26 wins and 10 losses and a sweet sixteen appearance in the NJCAA DII National Tournament. "We will continue to build on the legacy of this program with talented and high character people. We have a solid core of freshman that have now had a taste of the big stage and will be ready to get back to work." Stated Watkins
