Rockford, IL: The Golden Eagles advance to the Region 4 District A Championship after defeating Morton College 86-74. Rock Valley avenges an earlier loss in the season to the Panthers.
In the Region 4 semi-final game the Golden Eagles would match up against the 5 seed Morton Panthers. The Golden Eagles were led by sophomore Joel Brown with 19 points, 14 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Freshman Cameron Reed recorded 17 points, 9 assist, 7 rebounds, Adam Brown had 17 points, 5 rebounds and JT Samuels rounded out double figure scoring with 11 points.
The Rock Valley College Men will advance to the Region 4 Championship game for the first time in program history at the NJCAA Division 2 level riding an 8 game win streak and a 21-11 record. The Golden Eagles will match up against the #1 seed Bryant and Stratton Bobcats Saturday March 8th at 5:00 pm. Rock Valley lost both of their earlier season match-ups to the Bobcats.
