Cicero, IL. — The Rock Valley College Men's Soccer team wrapped up its 2025 season with a first round loss to Morton College. The Golden Eagles fell in a match 5-1 to Morton Community College in the Division 2 NJCAA Region 4 Tournament. RVC ended their season with a record of 7-8-4.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Tim Romanello the Golden Eagles squad showcased disciplined defense throughout the year. "In the end, I think this program continues to improve. It's definitely short of the ultimate goal and vision we have in mind. That said, we were able to accomplish quite a few things despite losing in the region tournament."
Several players earned recognition for their outstanding performances. Rock Valley was led by freshman midfielder Reese Schlichting with 28 total points on 10 goals and 8 assist, freshman midfielder Jovanni Ortega, and sophomore defender Pharrell Williams who were both NJCAA Region 4 second team nods.
This season saw the Golden Eagles reach the national poll again and continue to gain respect at the NJCAA Division 2 level.
