Golden Eagles Soar to 14th Win with Dominant Road Performance at Kankakee 

KANKAKEE, Ill. — The Rock Valley College Women's Soccer team continued its impressive run of form with a 4–0 road victory over Kankakee Community College on Tuesday afternoon. With the result, the Golden Eagles improve to 14–1 overall and 9–1 in Region IV competition. 

Through ten Region IV matchups, Rock Valley has now outscored opponents 41–1, showcasing their defensive discipline and attacking depth. 

The Golden Eagles dictated the rhythm of play from the opening whistle, controlling possession and tempo throughout. Despite RVC generating 15 first-half shots, Kankakee's organized defense held strong until late in the period. The breakthrough came from excellent midfield buildup — Araceli Mendez drove through the center of the park before finding Emilia Arias, who slipped Johanna Hawley in behind the defense. Hawley's pace created separation, and she calmly placed her finish inside the far post to make it 1–0. 

The second half saw Rock Valley turn their dominance into goals. Hailey Westphal struck twice following dynamic combination play through the midfield, extending the lead to 3–0. The scoring was capped by Izze Fritz, who powered home a close-range finish into the top of the net to seal the 4–0 victory.

The Golden Eagles return to Region IV action Wednesday evening, traveling to face College of DuPage for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
