Joplin, MO: The Rock Valley College Women's Basketball team advances to the elite eight round of the NJCAA DII National Tournament. The Golden Eagles, the #3 seed would defeat the #14 seed Mid Michigan Lakers in NJCAA DII Women's Basketball second round. This victory would break the programs record for most wins in a single season.
The Golden Eagles would take an early lead and complete a wire to wire victory in the game. RVC would control the tempo and pace of the entire game. "This is the National Tournament everyone who is in this moment is a good ball club and earned the right to compete for a championship. We wanted to do enough of the little things the right way to be on the positive end of this one." stated Head Women's Basketball Coach

The Golden Eagles did just that. Winning the battle on the boards against the Lakers 21 of their 47 rebounds being offensive leading to 26 points. RVC would also force the Lakers to commit 23 turnovers in which turned into 39 points.
The Golden Eagles were lead by sophomores, 
Maya Mitchell with 20 points, 11 rebounds, 
Bre'Nazjah Davis 17 points 6 rebounds, and 
Jasmyn Hale with 14 points, 10 rebounds.
