For the ninth time in twelve seasons, and the first time at the NJCAA DII level the Rock Valley College Women's Basketball program will be heading to the NJCAA DII Women's Basketball National Tournament.

The Golden Eagles, the #3 ranked team in NJCAA DII Women's Basketball, have earned the 3^rd  seed in this year's National Tournament, and have also received a first round bye. "It really feels good to be heading to the national tournament. We have been fortunate as a program over the past twelve seasons that our sophomore classes have made an appearance at the dance." Stated Head Coach Darryl Watkins

This run of sophomore groups making the national tournament dates back to starting with the 2012 National Championship team. "They kind of made a note of it in the selection show about us being a D3 power for years and one thing I know this group has embraced the rich tradition of this program all while continuing to write their own chapter in the book.

#3 Rock Valley College advances to the NJCAA DII National Tournament on Tuesday March 19^th in Joplin, Missouri held on the campus of Missouri Southern State University to face off against the winner of the #14 seed Mid Michigan College (MI) and Bryant & Stratton (VA) at 3:00pm.
