Madison, WI:
The Golden Eagles will be heading back to the city of Madison, WI this weekend for the second year in a row. Women's Soccer and Volleyball will be respectively competing with chances to go to the NJCAA DII National Tournaments.
The weekend will be kick started with the #2 seed women's soccer program who took care of business against Madison College in the Region 4 Tournament Semifinal on Tuesday afternoon. Goals were scored by
Sara Holguin and
Emma Ambrose who gave the Golden Eagles the go ahead from a corner kick.
"Madison worked really hard and were very organized defensively. They did well to draw level on a well worked set piece, but also happy we were able to hold them to the lone shot on target. I think our attitude and desire to get the winner was a good test to see this type of game out for the win." coach Watkins stated. Rock Valley will face off against South Suburban on Saturday at 1:00pm with a ticket to the 2024 NJCAA DII National Tournament on the line.Â
Â
The women's volleyball team would open up Region 4 tournament play with a three set sweep over Oakton College.Â
