Madison, WI – SWEET HOME ALABAMA…. The Rock Valley College Women's Soccer program would secure a spot in the 2024 NJCAA DII Women's Soccer Tournament.
The Golden Eagles scored both of their goals in the 60th and 66^th minute of the 2^nd half to capture the first Region 4 title punching their own ticket back to the NJCAA DII National Tournament for the second season in a row.
Anika Elgin would score both goals for the Golden Eagles assisted by sophomores Sydney Carlson and Emma Ambrose. Elgin has now scored 10 goals and 6 assist in 11 games as she returned from injury near the tail end of the season. Naitzy Garcia made five good saves on five shots on goal to keep the Bulldogs scoreless. This would be Garcia's 13^th shutout of the season setting the single season record. The Golden Eagles await to see their opponent at the 2024 NJCAA DII Women's Soccer National Tournament. This years National Tournament is hosted at John Hunt Park & Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville, AL November 17-23^rd.
