A look at the key talking points, team news and stats ahead of Tuesday's Region 4 encounter between the Rock Valley Golden Eagles and Madison Wolfpack 

Rock Valley and Madison will meet Tuesday afternoon as the sides go head-to-head in Rockford, Illinois in a pivotal Region 4 match. 

Unbeaten in their first three Region 4 matches, Rock Valley will put see derby rival Madison Wolfpack come to town. The Golden Eagles' attack is finally firing, scoring seven goals in their last two games, including three straight matches of at least two goals. 

Rock Valley was on the front foot from the opening whistle in Wisconsin Sunday night against Bryant & Stratton. They will need a similar output against the Wolfpack Tuesday afternoon if they are to extend their three-match streak. 

The Wolfpack enter Tuesday 1-1-0 on a young 2023 campaign. After dropping their season opener against defending national champion Prairie State, 3-1, the Wolfpack rebounded against Malcolm X with a 1-0 win on a Carter Uhlmann goal in the 40th minute. 

The two teams met last year in an early August game up in Madison. Despite controlling the lion share of the possession, it was the Wolfpack that found the lone goal of the match, a Jacob Howard 55th minute goal. It will be Madison's first away match of 2023, and Rock Valley holds a 5-4 edge in Rockford all-time against Madison. 

Team News 

Taylor Sowell (Boylan Catholic) collected his third goal against Bryant & Stratton and extended his point streak to three games. 

Isaac Ishmon recorded three points versus Bryant & Stratton with an assist to Max Rebori in the second minute, then a goal of his own in the 33rd. 

Head coach Tim Romanello collected his 41st win at Rock Valley on Sunday at Bryant & Stratton. Romanello's next win will pass Frank Horvat as the program's winningest coach.
