Rock Valley v Kankakee: Match Preview
Rock Valley College got back on track with a 2-1 win over Milwaukee in their 2023 home opener on Saturday evening. The win also kicked off Region 4 play that will continue Tuesday afternoon with a trip to Kankakee, Illinois for a first-ever clash with the Cavaliers.
The two region foes will meet for the first time Tuesday. Head coach Tim Romanello will look for his attack to convert their opportunities into goals. Through three games, the Golden Eagles have only four goals to show for their efforts.

Despite the close 2-1 score line final, the Golden Eagles managed 67% possession on 31 shots and connected 574 of 680 passes (84%), 341 more passes connected than Milwaukee event attempted. Goals for Rock Valley came from Sam Herrejon (41st minute) and Edwin Navas (58th minute).

The Golden Eagles will stay on the road in their next match with a trip north of the border. The men will play Bryant & Stratton in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin Sunday (Sep. 3) evening in their lone trip to the Badger state. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 pm from Oconomowoc High School.
